Job Description: JOB SUMMARY:, The primary role of the Aquatics Instructor is to lead a group of individuals through goal-specific aquatic exercises in a safe and effective manner. The primary role of the Aquatics Lifeguard is to ensure client safety by actively guarding pool patrons and enforce pool rules., DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES, Instructor Specific:, 1. Facilitate variety of classes and lead individuals in exercise/swim classes., 2. Keep daily class records as needed., 3. Assist exercise/swim class instructor., Lifeguard Specific:, 4. Prevent injuries by minimizing or eliminating hazardous situations or behaviors., 5. Assist class/aquatics instructor., Overall:, 6. Attentively watch pool patrons and enforce pool rules 7. Maintain a safe pool environment., 8. Assist patrons in pool areas as necessary., 9. Recognize and respond to emergency situations appropriately., 10. Complete required health department information and forms., 11. Maintain neat and organized equipment rooms., 12. Complete laundry daily for the Aquatics department., 13. Provide maintenance support (chemical tests, communicate maintenance order requests, etc.) as needed., 14. Responsible for general housekeeping., 15. Responsible for understanding and completing opening and closing procedures., 16. Attend meetings as needed., 17. Adhere to agency safety policies and procedures., 18. Any other duties assigned., 19. Be willing and able to “bring caring to life”.
