Job Description: The Advisor plays a key role in the Adult Degree Program's (ADP) efforts to recruit, advise, and retain returning adult students. This individual also works closely with instructional staff and program managers to identify, develop, and administer new outreach programs and initiatives that serve our institution and surrounding communities. This particular advisor will be more heavily involved in refining the recruitment model for ADP, implementing and maintaining our customer relationship management system, and engaging potential adult students. * Engage returning adult students through participation in education fairs, consortiums, community and corporate recruitment functions, ongoing visits to University of Wisconsin-system and Wisconsin Technical College System institutions, etc. * Implement and help administer the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system. * Provide advising for returning adult students in admission and registration procedures, programs of study, degree requirements, and course selection. * Develop retention strategies and policies, manage student records and correspondence files, facilitate student, faculty, and staff orientation sessions. * Provide support to instructional academic staff and program managers in identification, development, and administration of new outreach programs and initiatives intended to serve the campus and surrounding communities. * Build and nurture relationships with partner institutions and community organizations for purposes of marketing and recruitment., Please go to www.uwgb.edu… to view full job posting

Education Required: REQUIRED: * Master's degree. * At least three years experience in student services. * Strong organizational skills and ability to work with multiple audiences and manage complex tasks within clear timelines. * Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills. * Ability to effectively engage adult learners. * Understanding and appreciation of the needs of returning adult students and adult education.
Experience Required: PREFERRED: * Student service experience in higher or adult education. * Experience with Customer Relations Management (CRM) systems. * Demonstrated understanding of recruitment and admissions theory and processes.
