Job Description: Provide student-centered academic advising to undergraduate students, with an emphasis on services to first year, undeclared, international and Wisconsin Covenant students. * Provide academic information, advice and support to students regarding: university degree requirements, programs of study, career and personal goal setting and academic opportunities. * Make appropriate referrals, interpret academic policies and procedures. * Work collaboratively with Director, advising colleagues, and professionals from across campus to implement and deliver high quality advising services within a dynamic environment. * Some public speaking is required., Please go to www.uwgb.edu… to view full job posting.

Education Required: REQUIRED: * Bachelor's Degree. * Minimum 1 year work experience in academic advising and/or student affairs.
Experience Required: PREFERRED: * Master's Degree in Higher Education, Counseling or related field. * Demonstration of knowledge of general developmental/student-centered advising. * Evidence of excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills. * Experience in a windows based environment and familiarity with MS Office. * Experience working with a diverse student population is desirable.
