Job Description: Bathes, shampoos, dresses and grooms assigned residents and assists with personal hygiene to increase their comfort and well being. Toilets residents. Takes temperature, pulse and respiration readings and documents accordingly. Monitors resident intake and output according to resident care plan and documents accordingly. Assists with the serving and feeding of residents. Assists in positioning, range of motion, transferring and ambulating residents according to resident care plan and documents accordingly. Uses measures to promote skin integrity, joint mobility and body alignment. Recognizes and reports signs and symptoms which may signify a change in condition for a resident to the unit charge nurse; responds appropriately to emergency situations. Assists in maintaining a clean and neat appearance of resident rooms and nursing units. Makes beds and sanitizes equipment.
