Job Description: ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: * Translate the excitement of aerospace and space exploration to students, parents, educators and other professionals. * Seek outside funding for the Wisconsin Space Grant Consortium (WSGC) and its programs, and assist in successful grant-managing activities. * Manage the day-to-day activities of WSGC programs. * Work with all Affiliate Members to coordinate planned activities and programs. * Plan statewide, regional and national conferences within the WSGC and NASA Space Grant network. * Serve as WSGC representative to selected boards and committees, and act for Director in Director's absence. * Prepare all budgets for the WSGC and assist Director in preparation of all required reports and proposals to NASA. * Oversee all accounting and financial transactions, including all award payments. * Provide administrative and other support to all funded students and coordinate student tracking as required by NASA. * Oversee all WSGC products, including the annual Conference Proceedings, posters, brochures, publications and mailings. * Supervise office staff, correspond with prospective and current award recipients and perform general office tasks as necessary. * Communicate and work collaboratively with individuals from a broad range of demographic, ethnic, educational, economic and professional backgrounds. * Work under stringent time constraints and deadlines., Please go to www.uwgb.edu… to view full job posting.

Other Pay: The UW System provides an excellent benefits package including participation in the Wisconsin State retirement plan.
Education Required: REQUIRED: * Bachelor's degree * Five years experience * Business background with emphasis on program management and budget preparation * Extensive experience in preparing budgets, reconciling accounts, tracking and overseeing financial and award payment transactions * Managerial and supervisory experience * Ability to learn and adapt to ongoing change in an extremely fast-paced work environment * Working knowledge of a standard office suite of computer software * Ability to organize, prioritize and manage multiple tasks * Ability to work independently and within a collaborative team * Strong communication/interpersonal skills and ability to work with a diverse group of individuals within the UWGB community, in the state of Wisconsin, and nationally * Ability to work very closely in strong partnership with other WSGC and University staff, the ability to embrace and empathize with the needs of a broad statewide and national community, and a passion for the goals of the WSGC, are crucial skills for this position.
Experience Required: PREFERRED: * Master's degree * Successful grant-writing experience
