Job Description: Job Summary:, The Logistics Service Representative is a position that shares the responsibility for the success and profitability of the account(s) with either the Logistics Account Manager or the Logistics Operations Manager. The primary responsibility for this role is the execution of the day-to day transportation activities for our customers. This role will have relationships with both internal and external customers as well as vendors. Specific Job Duties and Responsibilities:, • Optimizing transportation shipments for our customers while balancing service and cost using the transportation management system, • Monitoring and tracking transportation shipments from inception to final delivery, • Maintaining relationships established with carriers to ensure capacity and monitor service standards, • Communicating effectively with customers, carriers and teammates, • Analyzing and recommending broad based innovative improvement initiatives for the account with a focus on eliminating root causes of recurring issues which leads to driving down costs and/or improving service, • Using professional judgment to assess the impact of tactical decisions/actions on the customer and GENCO ATC, • Balancing the customers’ needs with our company’s profitability, • Reporting and analyzing key performance indicators, • Building customer relationships at operational levels within the customer • Developing standard operating procedures based on the direction from manager, • Assisting in the maintenance of the account plan to ensure sustainability of our services and expand our solution set

Experience Required: SUMMARY OF JOB REQUIREMENTS:, • Relevant transportation/logistics work experience preferred • Proven customer service experience preferred, • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications highly preferred, • Interpersonal skills with the ability to develop effective customer and teammate relationships, • Problem solving skills, • Oral/written communication skills, • Ability to learn technology quickly, • Transportation management system experience preferred • Ability to travel (5-10%) depending on start-ups
