Seymour Dairy Products is a growing manufacture of Artisan Blue Cheese. We are a small company that prides itself on using a combination of automation and handmade techniques to create a unique blue cheese. Due to our recent expansion we are looking for a full time experienced Maintenance Mechanic.

Job Description: • Ensures the safe and appropriate operation of equipment by proper diagnosis, repair and maintenance of production/processing machinery and other mechanical equipment. • Duties include repairing and maintaining machinery, mechanical equipment, such as pumps, conveyor systems, and motors, Examine parts for defects, such as breakage or excessive wear. • Repair, replace, adjust, and align components of machinery and equipment. • Clean and lubricate parts, equipment, and machinery. • Repair and replace electrical wiring and components. • Accurately complete daily repair logs. • Responsible for maintaining food safety and quality. • Effectively troubleshoots electrical, mechanical and process issues in an independent manner. • Communicate effectively and work well with all employees, visitors and vendors. • Reliable and available to work any shift and holidays. • Work flexible hours and overtime as needed. • Perform other duties and projects as required.

Experience Required: • High school graduate or equivalent. • A minimum of five (5) years maintenance experience preferably within Dairy, Food, and/or Beverage industry. • Effective troubleshooting skills; must be able to systematically diagnose electrical and/or mechanical problems. • Working knowledge of boilers, refrigeration, PLC’s, electrical, VFD 's, cooling towers, ammonia compressors, process instrumentation, and packaging equipment preferred., • Working knowledge of machines and tools, including their design, uses, benefits, repair, and maintenance. • Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently with good time management and organizational skills. • Ability to logically determine mechanical/electrical/process control system functions, in order to determine the most efficient method of resolving malfunctions. • Must be dependable and available to work all shifts including weekends.
