Job Description: • Reconcile and balance all general ledger accounts., • Prepare and analyze financial statements and prepare financial reports., • Complete the month-end and year-end close., • Assist Business Services Manager with the annual budget preparation., • Serve as the backup to payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable., • Assist with the school registration process, tuition payments and credits through FACTS., • Respond to inquiries from vendors, principals, parish business managers, teachers, and parents in a timely and courteous manner., • Handle all system, school, student and financial related information in a diplomatic and confidential manner.

Education Required: Bachelor degree in Accounting preferred. A minimum of an Associate Degree in accounting required.
Experience Required: • Solid accounting experience handling general ledger entries and reconciliation, financial reporting and analysis, month-end and year-end close and annual budgeting., • High proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office and an aptitude to learn new computer systems., • Experience in payroll, accounts payable and accounts receivable., • High self-motivation and drive is required.. • Strong problem solving skills and analytical skills required. • Contract/vendor oversight preferred. • Experience in non-profit/fund accounting desired, • Ability to work in a diplomatic and confidential manner with all school and parish members., • Experience or a passion for working in a school system or parish setting would be helpful.
