Job Description: The Director of Alumni Relations reports directly to the Director of Development for University Advancement and is responsible for developing, implementing and executing a comprehensive alumni development plan. The Director of Alumni Relations is engaged in all aspects to cultivate, foster and develop a lifelong connection between alumni and the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay. Major Responsibilities: * Work with the Director of Development to establish and achieve goals and objectives for alumni giving that are consistent with the Advancement and University mission and strategic planning initiatives. * Plan, market, direct, track and report results of alumni programs and events. * Serve as the University liaison to the Alumni Association board and assist in facilitating, guiding and advising board members. * Attend meetings and participate in the recruitment, training and orientation of Alumni Board members. * Incorporate and implement a plan to foster board development. * Plan and implement alumni events associated with fundraising, career networking, educational programming, volunteering, social receptions and other events as identified. * Develop, orchestrate and execute plans for an Alumni Weekend event. * Coordinate and organize alumni awards and recognition events. * Oversee alumni planning and budget activities, revenue and expense tracking and scholarship distributions. * Work with the Director of Development on fundraising efforts, annual alumni fund drive and other fundraising activities for the advancement of the University. * Develop, implement and maintain effective and meaningful communications with alumni and constituents via all forms of social media (e.g. Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, web, e-news, web, etc). * Coordinate the publication and distribution of the Alumni E-newsletter and assist with information gathering for alumni notes for Inside Magazine and other alumni communications. * Assist in conducting donor research in support of giving initiatives. * Analyze giving programs and donor records management, and prepare reports to track and report pertinent data. * Supervise student employees as needed. * Execute all responsibilities in accordance with UW-Green Bay, University of Wisconsin System and University of Wisconsin Foundation policies and procedures, Internal Revenue Service rules and regulations governing contributions, as well as donor intent. * Interact and build positive working relationships with other departments/areas of campus that have strategic work alliances with the University Advancement Office., Please go to www.uwgb.edu… to view the full job posting.

Education Required: REQUIRED: * Bachelor's degree from an accredited university * Professional experience in program development, event or volunteer management or in a related field such as alumni relations, non-profit, sales, marketing, public relations, communications, or fundraising * Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with consistency in follow-through * Excellent written and oral communication skills * Strong presentation skills and/or demonstrated training experience desirable * Excellent interpersonal skills to build relationships and engage alumni, donors and University staff * Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as a member of a team * Demonstrated computer proficiency with the ability to use database, spreadsheet, word processing and specialized software applications * Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Experience Required: PREFERRED: * Experience in event coordination and/or volunteer management * Experience using a relational database * Alumnus/a of UW-Green Bay or working knowledge of similar institution
