Job Description: Develop supplier relationships that ensure the daily performance of the supply chain in aspects of delivery, quality and cost; act as a role model and mentor to the entire Commodity Planning team., • Develop/maintain supplier relationships, to ensure delivery performance, timely resolution of quality issues, and appropriate inventory levels at ATI., • Purchase/expedite rough materials and component parts to support the daily, weekly and monthly production plan. • Manage inventory by supplier through the use of multiple techniques including ERP, Kanban, and Supplier Managed Inventory (SMI) to meet corporate goals • Communicate and assess daily issues, including engineering changes, specification changes, deviations, etc., to ensure material availability to the operation., • Monitor and rate suppliers monthly to support continual improvement to both delivery performance and quality issues, • Support ATI Strategic Purchasing to ensure appropriate supply base capacity and strategic supplier activities, • Represent the Materials Group in new product introduction activities, • Recommend improvements to the existing material planning systems and methodologies., • Support the maintenance of ISO/QS-9000 certification as documented by the Quality Management System, • Support and adhere to all EHS policies and procedures

Education Required: • Bachelor's degree in business or operational management, • APICS CPIM or CSCP certification helpful
Experience Required: • Five (5) to ten (10) years experience in a manufacturing environment using various material systems including ERP, Kanban and SMI PREFERRED SKILLS, • Excellent communication skills, • Experience working within a low volume/high product mix environment helpful, • Purchasing experience helpful
