Job Description: The Assistant Athletics Director for Development will report to the Director of Athletics and will be responsible for the identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of donors involved in the annual membership fundraising activities of the Athletics Department. These responsibilities will be carried out in accordance with NCAA, Horizon League, UW System and University rules and regulations. * Supervise Athletics Special Events Coordinator. * Supervise sport programs as assigned by Director of Athletics. * Act as a member of the Athletics Department Senior Staff. * Design, execute and administer the annual membership fund drive, including the formulation of fundraising goals, campaign timelines, and stewardship of donors to the Phoenix Fund. * In conjunction with the Director of Athletics design, execute and administer a major gifts campaign that addresses the short and long term goals of the Athletics Department. * Design, execute and administer an annual fundraising campaign to support endowed scholarships and the Athletic Department Endowment. * Maintain effective interpersonal relationships with University leadership, faculty, staff, alumni and community. * Maintain effective relationships with former student-athletes, coaches and University Advancement. * Serve as liaison to the Phoenix Fund Board of directors, Phoenix Fund Executive Committee, University Advancement, and related athletic booster clubs. * Facilitate and organize Phoenix Fund Board of Directors and Executive Committee meetings. * Lead Board of Director development and orientation to educate and engage members; provide direction and support to Board of Director officers. * Serve as an Athletic Program representative at community and campus events as requested by the director of Athletics., Work schedule will be varied and will include nights and weekends as determined by fund raising and athletics events.
