Job Description: • Specific assignments to include teaching Electronics-based curriculum in a flexible student-centered learning environment; marketing of programs, delivery methods, and Manufacturing Technology training; and assist in promoting and teaching customized training. • Teaching of program courses to include, but not limited to, DC, AC, basic electronics, digital electronics, telecommunications, microprocessors, programmable logic controllers, drives, motors, HMI and power electricity. • Responsible for managing the instructional process, associated curriculum review and development and student recruitment, retention and advising within the area of instruction. • Provide educational leadership and work effectively with applicable advisory committees, community groups, faculty, administration, and campus support staff including workplace learning services to perform contract work. • Creating a welcoming, comfortable learning environment for students requiring additional academic assistance to promote success in the Manufacturing Technology Center program courses., • Provide individual and group coaching on Manufacturing Technology program performance assessment tasks., • Collaborate with faculty to determine key areas of student need in Manufacturing Technology program courses., • Develop learning sessions related to identified content areas.

Other Pay: Instructor 50%: Based on a standard 180-day academic year, half-time obligation, minimum starting salary is $26,024 for a Bachelor’s degree and minimum experience. Maximum salary is $39,989 for a Doctorate’s degree and appropriate experience. Indexed salary table. (2011-2012 rates), Coach 50%: Full salary is $29,667 (2011-2012 rates). Salary progression is at 90% for first year, 95% for second year and full salary at start of third year.
Education Required: • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college and two years of successful, directly related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience, including prototyping and electronic fabrication., • Master’s Degree in Engineering or Professional Engineer License preferred
Experience Required: • Must be eligible for certification under the Administrative Code of the Wisconsin Technical College System (WTCS). • Willingness to investigate, adapt, and implement new technologies as market demands change., • Previous teaching experience with adult learners is desirable., • Ability to assist students with a variety of technical course material in an open, self-directed, instructor assisted manufacturing technology environment., • Ability to prioritize student requests for assistance., • Ability to develop and foster positive working relationships within faculty and students in the program., • Ability to think creatively and problem solve., • Experience working within a functional working team desirable., • Experience working with diverse client populations desirable, • Ability to work non-standard hours including evenings and weekends.
