Job Description: ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Assist in the development of goals and strategies for the Athletics Department annual fund raising campaign. Coordinate, plan and organize Athletics Department fund raising events and functions in order to reach annual revenue goals and increase support and involvement from the community and alumni. * Coordinate and organize special events to assist in fund raising activities for the Athletics Department. * Prepare reports to summarize the progress and outcome of special events. * Coordinate receipt of payments associated with special events. * Generate thank you letters, acknowledgement of gifts and other correspondence to donors, attendees and sponsors associated with special events. * Generate informational pieces to market special events, including brochures, flyers, etc. * Manage invitee/registration lists for special events to ensure accurate information. * Assist in recruiting, training and leading volunteers who assist in working at special events. * Participate in annual Phoenix Fund drive. * Coordinate acknowledgement of gifts, payments and pledges received for the annual fund drive and track pledges receivable in accordance with the University's gift policies. * Assist in the preparation of reports to summarize the progress and outcome of annual fund drive., Position will require work on nights and weekends throughout the year in order to meet the needs of the Athletics Department.
