Job Description: Engineering new products - facilitate the design of vehicle wash equipment, • Write and review project/product scopes, • Lead and record design reviews., • Create and maintain item specifications (drawings, schematics, manuals, engineering specifications, etc.), • Seek new product and technology ideas, • Locate, select, and procure components for new product development, • Coordinate factory and field testing of wash components, Engineering Existing Products - support engineering changes made to existing vehicle wash equipment, • Lead and record design reviews, • Coordinate factory and field testing of wash components, • Identify and resolve product quality issues working directly with technical support, sales, and manufacturing, • Maintain certification and compliance of product to appropriate UL, CE, and other applicable standards, • Create and maintain item specifications (drawings, schematics, manuals, engineering specifications, etc.), Technical/Liaison Product Support • Collaborate with Technical Service Representatives:, • to ensure customer feedback is included in product development, • to educate the Technical Service Representatives on releases and upgrades, • Act as liaison when new products or product changes are introduced, • Work with sales, manufacturing supervisor, and buyer to accommodate special equipment requests, • Answer questions from customers and prospective customers about the features and capabilities of our vehicle wash equipment, • Develop documentation for our manuals, sales literature, and website on an as-needed basis, • Provide technical information and service to internal/external customers and suppliers, • Create and maintain technical sales support documentation, • Support, maintain, and enhance the customer training program held at Washworld for all products, • Analyze RMA (warranty) data in order to identify trending issues associated with components, • Work with Buyer and/or Director Of Operations to establish and maintain supplier relationships

Experience Required: • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills, combined with the ability to provide quick resolution to problems, • Excellent electrical and mechanical skills required, • Minimum 3 years previous experience in Designer role preferred, • Strong written and verbal communication skills are mandatory, • Must be customer service oriented and believe in teamwork, collaboration, adaptability, and initiative, • Championing attitude regarding customer follow up. Must respond with urgency to customer concerns, • Must be able to develop and maintain positive relationships within Washworld, our suppliers, and our customers, • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, • AutoCAD or other drawing software experience preferred, • Comfortable interacting directly with customers to achieve customer satisfaction. • Ability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks, • Adept at transferring technical knowledge verbally and in written format
