Ideal candidates are team players with good attendance who want to learn and expand their skills and talents, Job Responsibilities: Surface Mount Technology Corporation is seeking an experienced Process/Equipment Technician adept at the skills necessary to lead the continuous improvement process as related to machine performance and development efforts in preventative maintenance of high-technology equipment and downtime improvement efforts. Prior work experience with contract circuit board manufacturing is essential. Qualified applicant will support the production group and help identify areas for improvement – the goal being to reduce set-up and process time as well as improve overall quality. As the Process/Equipment Technician, you will be responsible for: • Provide advanced programming to operate production equipment. • Provide scheduled and unscheduled repairs and maintenance of production equipment. • Support production, process engineering and quality to assure product specification. • Support new technology/equipment implementation. • Lead thermo profile development. • Define content of and write instructions/procedures for equipment preventative maintenance as required. • Lead technical support for operators. The Process/Equipment Technician will help maintain ISO 9001 certification by being knowledgeable of and following appropriate documents in the Quality Manual as well as other procedures.

Base Pay: $12-15 Based on experience
Education Required: A.A.S. Degree in Electro-Mechanical Technology or B.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering is preferred with a minimum of 3 to 5 years work experience within an electronics-manufacturing environment.
Experience Required: Preference for CM experience. Exposure to surface mount and solder technology is a must. Familiarity with RoHS compliance. Other responsibilities will include performing root cause analysis of production failures and process escapes. Maintain, upgrade, and enhance equipment and programs to improve efficiency and quality. Participate in cost reduction programs in manufacturing, and continuous improvement programs in quality. Strong computer skills are essential.
