Job Description: • Coordinate Traffic Safety and Juvenile Education programs. • Schedule Traffic Safety and Juvenile Education classes/courses to include simultaneous scheduling of instructors, classrooms, equipment, and materials in order to ensure the efficient onset and completion of a class. • Attend state-called Traffic Safety Advisory Council meetings and state-called Traffic Safety instructor meetings., • Schedule and conduct adjunct faculty training and in-service meetings. Evaluate Traffic Safety instructors bi-annually as required by Wisconsin Department of Transportation., • Responsible for the planning, organizing and follow-up support for various AODA and Traffic Safety programs, in-service, pre-employment and continuing education courses., • Serve as liaison with state governing/licensing AODA agencies and Department of Transportation., • Support AODA and Traffic Safety course delivery by assuring that curricula, materials, supplies & equipment are current & available for classes., • Promote and support professional development amongst staff., • Respond to customer inquiries, complaints and problems., • Support regional coordinators and assist them in serving their AODA and Traffic Safety clients., • Ability to travel and instruct at various locations within our district., • Assure that AODA and Transportation Safety website information is current and correct., • Serve as an instructor for a program that prepares students to work in human services, specifically in the area of substance abuse., • Manage the instructional process and associated curriculum review and development, including student advisement within the area of Human Services/AODA instruction., • Provide educational leadership and work effectively within a college team environment with advisory committees, faculty, administration and community groups., • Serve as liaison with Northcentral Technical College for the shared program., • Research additional strategic educational relationships with other educational facilities., • Initiate, build and maintain customer and adjunct faculty relationships, • Maintain databases to ensure the efficiency, growth and success of NWTC Human Services/AODA training., • Assess customer needs and coordinate faculty to ensure delivery of requested service. • Collaborate with students and divisional staff on the development of new product offerings. • May be required to serve as a club advisor.

Base Pay: SALARY: Based on a 180-day academic year, half-time obligation, minimum starting salary $26,545 for a Bachelor’s Degree and minimum experience. Maximum starting salary $39,769 for a Doctorate’s degree and appropriate experience. Indexed salary table, (2012-2013 rates).
Education Required: • Minimum of a Master’s Degree in related.
Experience Required: • Minimum of two years direct AODA occupational field experience., • Teaching experience with adult learners preferred. • Wisconsin Substance Abuse Counselor license (CSAC). • Wisconsin Department of Transportation Traffic Safety Instructor certification for Traffic Safety Point Reduction, Group Dynamics and Multiple Offenders Program. • Must be eligible for certification under the Administrative Code of the Wisconsin Technical College System., • Employment is conditional upon satisfactory completion of a Caregiver Background Check. • Knowledge of current AODA regulations and Impaired Driving Codes and Statutes., • Ability to understand and work within a team concept to facilitate the mission of the college., • Excellent organizational skills, ability to coordinate several simultaneous activities and provide leadership in the process., • Effective interpersonal communication skills., • Meets deadlines and manages challenging situations tactfully., • Effective problem-solving skills., • Demonstrates relational and supportive interactive style., • Relates well to others and works effectively under pressure., • Assumes independent responsibility for a College-wide function with minimal direction., • Insurable under the College’s standard vehicle liability insurance policy
