Job Description: POSITION NUMBER: F042 START DATE: August 26, 2013 ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: The position of Assistant / Associate Professor of Education will include the following job responsibilities: * Teach a course load of 21 credits per academic year of undergraduate and graduate courses in areas consistent with expertise and program needs such as educational leadership, educational psychology, curriculum and instruction, and social studies education. * Perform scholarly activities consistent with rank. * Advise students. * Perform institutional service and contribute to the ongoing development of the program.

Base Pay: Competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Other Pay: The UW System provides an excellent benefits package including participation in the Wisconsin State retirement plan.
Education Required: REQUIRED: * Earned doctorate in Education or related field from an accredited institution. Will consider ABD candidates with the expectation that the degree is completed by the end of the first year contract period. * Minimum of three years of experience working in a PK-12 educational setting. * Knowledge of and commitment to the teacher preparation process. * Demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching and scholarship. * Communication and interpersonal skills sufficient to work effectively with a diverse array of students and colleagues.
Experience Required: PREFERRED: * Knowledge and experience in a least one of the following areas: educational leadership, educational psychology, learning theory, graduate program development, inclusion, and social studies. * Successful experience in school or community partnerships.
