Job Description: This position is responsible for ensuring that all reviews and renewals of Small Business loan products are reviewed and re-documented (if necessary) prior to becoming an administrative past due issue. Also has responsibility for interim monitoring of covenants, borrowing base certificates and other conditions of credit, if applicable. This position will make credit decisions / recommendations in accordance with sound credit-granting principles and in compliance with Bank Policy and Procedures. This position is jointly responsible with the Small Business Banking Officers for effectively interacting with clients to enhance their relationship with the Bank. This position has lending authority up to $250,000.00 and typically carries unilateral authority up to $50,000.00. Typical loan size is less than $1,000,000.00. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES A. Credit Assessment (30%) B. Decisions/Recommends Credit Applications (30%) C. Credit Risk Management (30%) D. Customer Retention (10%)

Education Required: This position requires Credit Qualification. The incumbent must possess a Working level of Credit knowledge and skills and a Working level of Portfolio Management knowledge and skills according to the standards established within the Credit Qualification Process Policies and Procedures. 1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Preferably in a business related field.
Experience Required: 2. 1-2 Years Previous Small Business Credit Scoring and Underwriting experience is requires. 3. Prior Relationship Management experience is a plus. 4. Working knowledge of cash flow, credit and collateral evaluation. 5. Working knowledge of general business and industry trends, risk, etc. 6. Thorough knowledge of software being utilized to capture credit applications, proprietary scoring model, Word and Excel. Skills: 7. Good oral and written communication skills. 8. Ability, at a working level, to make sound transactional decisions to ensure policies and directives are met. 9. Ability to make timely decisions in a fast paced, production environment. 10. Ability to communicate effectively by adding value to Small Business Banking Officers and Customers. 11. Ability to work independently and take ownership of personal performance and development.
