Job Description: • Specific assignments to include teaching Shipfitting type training which is customized to meet the needs of a marine manufacturing organization in a flexible work based environment and/or on campus, marketing of programs and delivery methods. • Responsible for managing the instructional process and associated curriculum review and development, and student advising within the area of instruction., • Courses would include Shipfitter Curriculum, Blueprint Reading, Welding-FCAW, Welding- Cutting, Rigging Systems, and related Math., • Responsible for developing and delivering customized Shipfitting training required to work within a naval vessel. • Respond to emergency situations as needed and/or assigned for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns. • Assignments for this position are specifically located at Marinette unless workload needs permits bidding on in-team assignments at other locations.

Base Pay: SALARY: Based on a 204-day*, full-time obligation, minimum starting salary is $60,169 for a Bachelor’s degree and minimum experience. Maximum salary is $90,143 for a Doctorate’s degree and appropriate experience. Indexed salary table (2012-2013 rates).
Education Required: • Bachelor’s Degree and two years of successful, direct occupational experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Experience Required: • Must be eligible for certification under the Administrative Code of the Wisconsin Technical College System., • Appropriate technical licenses where applicable. • Previous teaching experience with adult learners is desirable., • Ability to assist students with a variety of technical course material in an open, self-directed, instructor assisted manufacturing technology environment., • Knowledge and familiarity of ABS American Bureau of Rules: Steel Vessel Rules, Rules of Building and Classing Aluminum Vessels, Guide for Building and Classing High Speed Naval Craft preferred but not required., • Knowledge of shipyard terminology/orientation preferred but not required., • Knowledge of and familiarity with Naval Fabrication Documents-Shipfitter, ABS Surface Ship and MMC Workmanship documents preferred but not required. • Ability to work in a team environment., • Willingness to investigate, adapt and implement new technologies as market demand changes., • Must be open-minded, demonstrate futuristic thinking, and be willing to accept change., • Ability to work in a team environment., • Ability to work non-standard hours including evenings and weekends.
