Job Description: Are you passionate about education and looking for a rewarding, yet part-time public relations career? CESA 6 is seeking to employ a part-time position for an organized and ambitious Public Relations Assistant. This position will be primarily located in Southeastern Wisconsin with the potential to grow to full-time for the right candidate. Primary responsibilities will include:, • Gather, organize, prioritize, write, and post web-site content;, • Assist with special events;, • Implement communication strategies, such as electronic newsletters, web pages using a content management system and develop content for a variety of communication purposes;, • Assist in the accomplishment of the strategic communication plan for a school district;, • Monitor social and traditional media.

Travel Required: Up to 25%
Base Pay: $15-18 per hour
Education Required: Associates or Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Marketing or Communications
Experience Required: The requirements for this position include:, • Associates or Bachelor’s degree in public relations, marketing or communications;, • Experience and education in website content development and management to ensure the web-site is easy to understand, updated and well organized;, • The ability to effectively monitor social media and traditional media to gather and analyze coverage;, • Excellent writing skills with the ability to develop news and feature stories for both electronic and print publications;, • Organization, good time management, flexibility and a willingness to work occasional evenings., Photography or video background is preferred. Initially this position will work 20 hours per week with an opportunity to grow into more hours.
