Base Pay: Salary Range $39,000 - $44,000 commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Other Pay: The UW System provides an excellent benefits package including participation in the Wisconsin State Retirement plan.
Education Required: Required:, -Bachelor's degree in instructional design, educational technology, or related field, and at least two years of experience in faculty technology support. -A demonstrated commitment to providing the best quality of service and support to faculty, staff, and students. -Excellent oral, written, interpersonal, and collaborative communication skills. -Ability to transform new and innovative technologies, e.g., Web 2.0 technologies, into effective teaching practices. -Ability to translate complex technical information into usable, easy-to-follow instructions. -Windows PC and Macintosh skills and familiarity with productivity sofware applications. -Web production skills including proficiency in authoring software (e.g., Adobe CS, etc.). -Good organizational skills, a high degree of energy and initiative, adaptability, flexibility, and the ability to work on multiple tasks and projects with little direct supervision. -A strong educational technology background; experience with pedagogically effective use of technology in teaching and learning.
Experience Required: Preferred:, -Master's degree in instructional design, education technology, or related field. -Understanding and appreciation of the needs of returning adult students and adult education. -Training and/or teaching experience in a higher education environment. -Experience working with a course management system (e.g., Desire2Learn, Blackboard, Moodle). -Experience with digitized audio and video technologies.
