Job Summary: Contact consumer and business customers to collect on past due accounts. Validate and approve security deposits, after review of personal consumer credit reports for new and existing customers, and ensures successful collection of deposits outstanding. Responsibilities & Duties: 1. Handle assignment of outbound collection queue by phone contact of past due customers to encourage immediate payment in full or make reasonable payment arrangements, under constraints of time allowed. 2. Resolve any customer disputes that are preventing the customer from paying in a timely manner. 3. Handle incoming calls from customers responding to correspondence regarding their past due account. 4. Initiate promise management upon making collection effort so customer account will suspend if no response or payment arrangements are not followed., 5. Validate promise management upon every customer touch point to ensure that customers who have paid at agent locations or have made appropriate arrangements are not unnecessarily suspended. 6. Initiate appropriate service reactivation according to collection procedure guidelines. 7. Process and mail various collection letters on a daily basis. 8. Verify customer identity on every call to ensure we are following guidelines set forth by the (FCC) Federal Communications Commission. (CPNI). 9. Handle special projects as assigned, such as audit of add-a-line report to ensure that the proper procedures are being followed in the field, work past due, security deposit, and credit reuse queues. 10. Offer payment options on every call, i.e.: Check by phone, Cellcom online, credit card, etc. 11. Performs additional related duties as requested or required.
