Job Description: We have a great opportunity to work for a client in the Green Bay area as a Quality control Manager. The position will be full-time, first shift with either the option for temp-to-hire or direct hire, earning 16.00 to 20.00 an hour. You will be responsible for performing inspections, checks, tests and procedure audits of the fabrication and assembly of both products and parts manufactured on site or received from third party vendors. Must ensure that all materials, parts and finished products meet or exceed both industry and company standards for quality and safety., Essential job functions include:, 1. Provide on-site quality inspections to ensure that all codes, standards and customer requirements are being met, 2. Give clear instructions to fabricators & operators on critical dimension to be monitored, 3. Assist in trouble shooting problems that may arise, 4. Inspect incoming product & supplies 5. Measure work piece dimensions to determine accuracy, 6. Coach and train team members when requesting re-work, 7. Identify areas for process improvement, cost and waste reduction, 8. Communicate well with other departments and team members to ensure accurate and timely completion of projects., Successful candidate will have a minimum of 3-5 years experience in quality control within a metal fabrication environment. Excellent blue print reading skills is a must. Also required is ASME & ASTM 1.1 & 1.6 experience. ISO 9000 experience preferred. Also preferred is AutoCad and/or SolidWorks experience. Experience in creating and implementing a Quality Manual and related procedures. Ability to use basic mechanical inspection hand tools such as micrometers, calipers, protractors, thread rings & plugs and pin gauges. Must have an excellent understanding of safety practices & procedures in a fabricating environment. Strong communicator and ability to work well with a diverse group of team members. Ability to identify & communicate with management regarding any machine, quality or team issues. Strong math and analytical skills necessary.
