Job Description: Focus on increasing preventative and predictive maintenance (PM and PDM) while reducing reactive maintenance. This position is responsible for improving the work force productivity and work quality by anticipating and eliminating potential delays through planning and coordination of labor, parts and material, tools and equipment, required permits, specialized documentation and equipment access. The Maintenance Planner is responsible for the planning and scheduling of all non-emergency maintenance work. Implements and maintains a computerized maintenance management system for all equipment PM, PDM, and reactive maintenance work., Review’s manufacturers’ service manuals, own establishment’s usage schedules, and records of maintenance problems to determine optimum frequency of preventive maintenance. Studies production and operation schedules and confers with other staff and with maintenance manager to determine when planned maintenance will least interfere with production operations., Plans and coordinates maintenance jobs and related projects. Estimates costs of personnel, parts, and suppliers to be used during scheduled maintenance., Maintains equipment information and related paperwork. Tracks reactive maintenance, analyzing trends and adjusting PM’s and PDM’s as necessary., Coordinates plans for relocating, reconstruction or installation of new equipment, machinery, or buildings., Assists maintenance personnel with equipment and research. Works with production personnel to identify, isolate, and repair equipment problems. Responsible for updating, organizing, managing, and receiving maintenance spare parts utilizing a computerized parts management system. Maintain and update MSDS documentations Responsible for maintaining, analyzing, and printing equipment centerlines. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operation and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Utilize company owned vehicle to pick up/drop off parts, Various other duties as assigned

Education Required: Two years experience as a maintenance planner/coordinator required. Experience using a Computer Maintenance Management System required. Extensive plant maintenance background (3-5 years). Associate degree or three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience Required: Advanced knowledge of Word and Excel. Able to work well under pressure, resourceful, energetic, and work in a multi-directional environment. Must maintain a valid drivers’ license. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
