Job Description: This position is responsible for managing the daily operations of the transit system, ensuring that we meet our goals of providing safe and reliable transportation in the Fox Cities region. It is additionally responsible for the supervision of maintenance employees and vehicle operators. The successful candidate must have knowledge and experience with public transit fleet maintenance, DOT/FTA regulations, safety, passenger relations and transit routes/schedules. Valley Transit serves transit needs of 200,000 residents in the Fox Cities Area. The position works under the direction of the Assistant General Manager and is responsible for 60 employees.

Other Pay: An excellent fringe benefit package.
Education Required: This position requires vocational/technical training in fleet maintenance or related field.
Experience Required: Three to five years public transportation supervisory and administration experience is preferred. Past experience that demonstrates knowledge of operation principles and repair practices of large diesel engines and of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems is essential. The position requires an excellent driving record, and the ability to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License Class B with passenger endorsement. Regular attendance required.
