Job Description: We have an exciting direct hire opportunity for an experienced Supply Chain professional! Our Client is growing rapidly and is actively seeking a Logistics expert to manage supply chain functions related to the transformation of raw materials into finished goods. The Logistics Manager will have a solid understanding of metal manufacturing processes and procedures. Principal Responsibilities Logistics process management and their integration into the system; synchronization of the local processes. Evaluation and implementation of Logistics partners to optimize service and availability of product. Negotiations with external partners Assists in the coordination of activities with other departments that affect Logistics plans and schedules. Management of the Logistics organization and evaluation of personnel. Manage to schedule personnel to ensure coverage as required and to make timely deliveries to meet customer needs. Establish and maintain an effective inventory control system; initiate corrective actions where necessary to meet defined objectives from Senior Management. Notify management of any trends, problems or discrepancies that could interfere with Logistics operations. Implementation of a measurement system to control Logistics costs, service and customer satisfaction; initiate corrective actions where necessary. Benchmark the Logistics concept and activities within and outside the industry Budget responsibility for Logistics and Distribution-related costs.

Base Pay: Salary based on experience
Education Required: University degree in Business Administration with main focus in Logistics.
Experience Required: Minimum 3 to 5 years experience in Logistics in a business environment, preferably within manufacturing and with import/export knowledge. Good communication and cooperating skills. Knowledge of ERP and MRP systems, competence with MS Office and excellent Excel skills and knowledge of AS400. Familiarity with backflushing and JIT a plus. High degree of management and communication skills, cooperate with all levels of employees., Flexible and must be able to withstand working pressures. Able to motivate and negotiate with various levels. Capable of solving problems in a quick and professional manner, setting priorities and making own decisions.
