Job Description: POSITION NUMBER: F202 or A043 START DATE: August 26, 2013 The University of Wisconsin - Green Bay seeks a candidate for either an Assistant Professor or Lecturer position based on qualifications and experience. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: ASSISTANT PROFESSOR: Full-time teaching load is 21 credits per year of both introductory and advanced undergraduate courses in Computer Science with possible contributions to a program in Information Science (courses depend on candidate's qualifications). The successful candidate will also be a vital member of a small department, contribute to ongoing curriculum expansion, advise undergraduate students, help supervise internships, work effectively with a diverse array of students and colleagues. The successful candidate is expected to maintain a program of scholarly activities and to contribute to the service expectations of the university. In addition, this position will be expected to display demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching and scholarship, commitment to undergraduate education, and possess communication and interpersonal skills sufficient to work effectively with a diverse array of students and colleagues. LECTURER: Full-time teaching load is 27 credits per year of courses in undergraduate computer science and information science. The successful candidate will teach both introductory courses and some upper-level courses and be responsible for coordination of software and hardware infrastructure. Involvement in advising and program development is possible. This position will be expected to display demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching, commitment to undergraduate education, and possess communication and interpersonal skills sufficient to work effectively with a diverse array of students and colleagues.

Education Required: MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: ASSISTANT PROFESSOR: * Earned doctorate in Computer Science or related field from an accredited institution. The degree must be completed no later than May 25, 2014. Will consider ABD candidates who can demonstrate the ability to meet the requirement above. LECTURER: * Bachelor's Degree or its functional equivalent. * Substantial further education or work experience in an area related to software or database design and development.
