Job Description: POSITION SUMMARY, The Production Coordinator oversees on-shift staff and maintains production and work flow for our assembly operations while accomplishing quality and delivery objectives. The position also requires leading and participating in continuous improvement efforts in safety, quality, delivery, and operating costs. , ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, Train operators on safety expectations, The daily production schedule is developed by production control and must be adhered to by supervisor, Train operators on standard work and enforce the adherence to work sequence, Achieve and maintain Level 5 5S implementation. This includes the use of operator checklists and 5S audits, Utilize hourly production boards to track actual vs. goal. Work with operators to determine root cause reasons for missing goals and record on production boards, Maintain Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost scoreboards at each cell. Work with Manufacturing Engineering to update boards on a weekly basis. Based on Pareto analysis, drive countermeasures for missed targets with appropriate owner, Drive changeover time to zero, Train operators on quality expectations and track defects in a quality database. Work with appropriate support groups to resolve quality issues. Measure quality performance in first pass yield, Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality, seamless customer service, Support Axletech International’s improvement efforts to reduce operating costs, improve quality, and reduce inventories Insure Axletech International products are delivered to our customers’ specified delivery date and on time deliveries are at 95% or greater, Manage labor utilization and operate the department within budget, Help develop, interpret, apply, and enforce company safety regulations and operating policies and procedures, Facilitate teamwork and continuous improvement within the entire plant. Maintain effective employee relations and establish effective communications resulting in high employee morale, Support and adhere to all EHS policies and procedures

Experience Required: EXPERIENCE, Qualified candidates will have one to three years of supervisory experience, preferably in a low to medium volume mixed model assembly environment. Experience identifying ergonomic problems in a heavy manufacturing/assembly environment will set the chosen candidate apart from the rest of the field. Experience in a union environment is also a plus.
