Job Description: Oversees the front end and back end of the billing processes to include the daily operations, denial management and reporting, payer contract management and charge master maintenance. Duties: Oversees the front end and back end of the billing processes to include the daily operations, denial management and reporting, payer contract management and charge master maintenance. The coordinator will be responsible for the payer authorization process, patient billing, and accounts receivable management. This position will also be responsible for assuring the organization adherences to appropriate billing practices, policies and procedures and all applicable federal and state laws. The coordinator will have ultimate responsibility for pre-treatment determination of benefits, accuracy and completeness of billing, timely collection of services performed and proper recording of account receivable and revenue amounts in billing and financial accounting software. Oversee the daily operations related to:, o Intake o Eligibility and benefit verification, o Patient financial counseling, o Charge/Coding capture, o Patient balance collection o Financial hardship management, o Claims transmission, o Insurance follow-up; including appeals, o Payment posting, o Payment analysis, o Patient statements, Denial management and reporting, Payer contract management, Charge master maintenance - Keeping all billable codes up to date in the computer system. This would include validating the codes are set up correctly; assure accuracy of claim form. Entering payer reimbursements by code into the system; assure accurate reimbursement. Qualifications: •Bachelor’s Degree, •Healthcare experience, •Supervisory experience, •Prior Medicaid experience, •Must have strong technology skills to include billing software and Microsoft Office products, •Must have strong knowledge of billing and financial concepts, •Strong analytical skills required, •Capable of making timely, independent decisions, •Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communications skills, The ideal candidate for this position is a self-starter who is able to take direction and goes beyond what is asked to accomplish goals; demonstrated ability managing and supervising billing staff, extensive medical billing experience, organizational skills and ability to provide leadership on billing software.
