Job Description: Responsibilities include designing, building and repairing dies, fixtures, plastic molds, and custom equipment that meet production requirements with safety and ergonomics in mind; operate all tool room equipment such as manual lathes, manual and CNC mills, drills, and surface grinders; use inspection/measuring instruments in the manufacturing/inspection process; heat treat tool steels to a specified hardness and inspect with hardness tester; read and understand product/tool drawings; fill out purchase requisitions and order parts as needed; write and perform preventative maintenance tasks on tooling and equipment; work closely with engineers and production/support technicians; understand basic geometry, trigonometry, and algebra (working with both decimals and fractions); and follow all plant and department safety procedures., This is a second shift position.

Experience Required: Qualified candidates must have strong educational knowledge or work experience related to Tool & Die making. In addition, qualified candidates must project a positive attitude and support a team environment. Skills that would benefit this position include working knowledge of CAD software; understand and apply hydraulic/pneumatic principals; possess working knowledge of machines, tooling and manufacturing processes; and be able to use SURFCAM (CAD/CAM) software., Additional characteristics that would be valued include leadership skills, dependability, willingness to learn, good oral and written communication, organized, strong eye/hand coordination, and a high mechanical aptitude.
