Job Description: • Provide leadership, vision for and oversee the Student Success department; functions include, but are not limited to: personal and mental health counseling, special accommodations and support services, student involvement activities, assessment and placement services, etc., • In collaboration with all Student Services departments work through the development of and transition to a comprehensive, Student Success Center model., • Develop and facilitate a Student Success Center Team across all Student Services departments., • Provide leadership for College planning for the current and long-range educational, financial, and facilities needs of the Student Success area., • Recommend personnel actions to the Vice President of Student Services including employment and dismissal, and provide for recruitment, assignment, supervision, training, and evaluation of staff., • Use team input to plan, recommend, and manage operating procedures including annual budget for the Student Success Department., • Ensure that all Student Success processes are in alignment with the College’s mission and purpose., • In cooperation with other college staff, develop and evaluate standards, and maintain monitoring data and statistics for deliverables. • Provide an organizational/team climate, which permits staff to accomplish the goals and objectives of the Student Success Department as they relate to Student Services Division and the College., • Participate in Divisional meetings, advisory and related committees as required; serves on advisory and related committees as needed • Provide leadership to committees as needed including but not limited to Dream Catchers, RISC Team, and other related Student Success initiatives., • Establish and maintain cooperative student services functions with all other divisions throughout the District., • Develop and coordinate initiatives that insure instructional linkages with all academic programs., • Develop and implement a comprehensive plan for activities and events, which lead to enhanced opportunities for learner success., • Other duties as assigned.

Education Required: • A Master’s Degree required. Concentration in the area of Counseling and/or Psychology including 5 years working experience as a counselor/advisor at a postsecondary level preferred.
Experience Required: • Three years post secondary administrative experience required. A combination of administrative experience and education may be considered., • Demonstrated experience supervising mental health and disability accommodations staff may be given preferential review., • Evidence of strong oral and written communication skills., • Demonstrated ability to create and work effectively in a multicultural environment., • Evidence of ability to work well with students, faculty, and administration • Experience in higher education, preferably at a technical and/or community college., • Knowledge of articulation procedures at various levels of education., • Working knowledge of ADA., • Demonstrated success in a team-based environment and management, • Knowledge and experience with a One-Stop, Student Success Center environment strongly desired., • Demonstrated knowledge of student administration software required and experience with PeopleSoft system a plus., • Ability to work independently, while maintaining the flexibility to travel and engage all student services staff across a large college district., • Must be eligible for certification under the Wisconsin Technical College System.
