Job Description: The Instructional Program Manager reports directly to the Associate Provost for Outreach and Adult Access. This position is responsible for oversight of the Interdisciplinary Studies (IST) curriculum and generates curricular recommendations to be reviewed by the IST Executive Committee as needed. This position also will develop and maintain an assessment system for the IST courses and major, including coordination of an e-portfolio process to demonstrate and reflect student learning outcomes. The Instructional Program Manager will supervise student internships and is responsible for the continued development and teaching of the program’s two IST courses (Adult Entrance Seminar and Synthesis and Assessment of Learning). Additionally, this position will promote and support the philosophy and mission of Adult Degree Programs, the Division of Outreach and Adult Access, and university-wide initiatives related to the non-traditional student experience. Base Pay: Salary Range $44,000 - $52,000 commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Other Pay: The UW System provides an excellent benefits package including participation in the Wisconsin State Retirement plan.
Education Required: Required: -Master’s degree from an accredited college or university -A minimum of five years of successful teaching experience in higher education -Evidence of exemplary teaching skill -Evidence of interdisciplinary training and knowledge of the liberal arts approach to education, -Demonstrated excellence in teaching and commitment to undergraduate education, -Excellent communication and interpersonal skills sufficient to work effectively with a diverse array of students and colleagues -Organizational skills and ability to promote collaboration and team work
Experience Required: Preferred: -Evidence of teaching in online and/or other alternative formats, -Doctorate from an accredited college or university
