Job Description: Department: Pump, Light Tower and Flex Line, Category: Full-time, Exempt, Position Description:, Under the direction of the Manufacturing Manager, coordinate and ensure the continual operation of the assigned assembly areas to maintain scheduled production requirements. Execute the scheduled production plan, investigate delays, and initiate corrective action to assure economical production through efficient procedures. Administer safety and quality programs through training and adherence to respective procedures., Primary Responsibilities:, • Maintains safe and organized working environment; sets example for safe work practices; identify and eliminates unsafe practices and hazards; enforces Magnum safety guidelines; provide continuous improvement ideas that improve safety of work areas using Magnum’s 5S guidelines., • Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees; developing personal growth opportunities., • Accomplishes manufacturing team results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures., • Maintains efficient, cost effective work flow by monitoring steps of the process; enforcing work standards; observing and enforce control points; monitoring personnel and resources; studying methods; implementing cost reductions; developing reporting procedures and systems; facilitating corrective actions to defects and malfunctions in manufacturing process; initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between Continuous Improvement work teams consisting of Assembly Technician, Facilitator, Documentation Technician and Production Planner., • Completes production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel; accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; resolving problems; reporting daily safety, quality and productivity results., • Ensures proper operation of tools and equipment; analyzes tooling and equipment. • Updates key performance indicators and responds to questions; analyze data and recommends improvements., • Ensure quality standards are being met through Magnum Quality System; perform root cause analysis and corrective actions; institute Key Quality Checkpoints. • Fosters Continuous Improvement by leading change and supporting continuous improvement ideas and is a Key contributor to continuous improvement projects as assigned., • Resolves personnel problems by analyzing data; investigating issues; identifying solutions; recommending action., • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops., • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed., • Maintain LEAN best practice culture, Qualifications:, • Technical school diploma in a mechanical, industrial or operational program, minimum of 5 years experience in a manufacturing setting, and 2 years experience in a lead or supervisory capacity or equivalent combination of. • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to read diagrams/prints., • Working knowledge of Inventory Control methods and process flow concepts., • Knowledge of OSHA guidelines. • Ability to lift 50 pounds., • Ability to organize workflow., • Ability to handle people under high-stress situations., • Ability to work overtime as required., • Ability to work in a team environment., • Sound communication skills., • Ability to lead a large group of people; ability to initiate change in resisting environment., • Strong data analysis and problem solving skills., • Proficient with Microsoft Office products.
