Job Description: Angelus Village is a new and exciting assisted living facility that will be opening in July 2012. Currently we are seeking a part time social event coordinator (activities coordinator) to join our team. This person will develop, implement and coordinate resident-centered activity programs including community programs. Other duties will include transporting residents to shopping events and external social events while driving the Angelus community bus, assisting residents to the dining room during meal time, coordinating volunteer programs, working within a budget, and other related duties. The ideal candidate for this position will enjoy working with active seniors, as well as be willing to communicate and listen to residents to determine their activity preferences. A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Must possess a high degree of interpersonal relations skills and the capability of relating to a variety of people and personalities. Considerable initiative, judgment and leadership skills are required values. Must be flexible with work schedule. Previous work-related experience preferred.
