Job Description: Position: Spa Concierge, Status: Part –Time, Reports to: Lead Spa Concierge / Owner, Education: High School or higher, Experience: Spa or Salon experience a plus, Job Purpose: A personable interface position and a communicating link between the guest and the spa staff as well as operations and other department’s facility. Responsible for coordination and booking of Spa services, handling reservations, up sell services, packages, and specials. Having the knowledge to coordinate customer relations as well as answer all inquiries pertaining to the spa, making appointments and scheduling therapists. Assist the reception area with guest’s requests and selling of retail product as needed. This position will perform reservations and receptionist procedures as stated by the Lead Spa Concierge and Spa Owner. Duties and Supporting Responsibilities: * Create special conversations with guests, which identify personal preferences in order to record in each guest's profile history. * Maintain a daily record (via Appointment Plus software) of all guest requests, reservations and confirmations for guests. * Communicate and describe in an articulate manner the spa offerings and their benefits. * Ability to compare and contrast the different services on the menu. * Recommend and up-sell services that fit the guests' needs. * Possess professional telephone etiquette for booking appointments, handling guests' requests, and answering guests' inquiries. * Proficient computer skills that will ensure reservations will be made in a timely, efficient and error free manner. * Effectively handles cash, credit card, gift certificates and spa transactions. * Maintain an understanding of the spa industry and spa philosophy (balance, relaxation, unity, and a healthy lifestyle). * Understand that as a representative of the Spa they will maintain a healthy, fit appearance and a positive attitude. * Ability to use Mac, Office Suite, fax machine, copier and email. * Maintain a clean, safe, stocked and well organized work area * Maintain spa appearance and cleanliness * Assist in all areas of the spa operation as directed by management. * Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. * Provide tours and describe the spa facility. * Assist with inventory of products and supplies. * Communicate and describe in an articulate manner the boutique products and their benefits. * Ability to compare and contrast the different skin and body care products offered. * Recommend and up-sell products that fit the guests' needs.
