Job Description: To direct and supervise all plant operations which facilitate the maximization of resources (human and automated) to achieve customer satisfaction, productivity, schedule adherence and economic goals.Responsible for production, quality controls (ISO and Company policy) and all other production related activities., Essential Functions:, Production, 1. Oversees all aspects of plant operation for production, maintenance, quality and shipping and receiving., 2. Coordinate plant activities through the Plant Manager to insure manufacturing objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost effective manner., 3. Establish and monitor plant performance for production and quality standards., 4. Control and minimize freight/shipping costs., 5. Assists with maintaining proper inventory levels., Supervisory, 1. Supervises the Team/Crew Leaders and other plant personnel., 2. Provides leadership and training to accomplish the company goals and objectives., 3. Works directly with the Plant Manager regarding all employee issues, including temporary employees., 4. Assists the Plant Manager with hiring of plant personnel through interviews., Safety, 1. Reports any work related accident, injury or near-miss to the Plant & Safety Manager., 2. Must complete the required paperwork in a timely manner to ensure reporting requirements are met., 3. Ensures the return-to-work program is followed correctly., 4. Ensures all company and ISO safety guidelines/protocols are followed correctly as it relates to work and machine safety, housekeeping, machine maintenance, etc., Knowledge and Skill Required · Associate’s degree in Operations Management, Business Management or equivalent preferred and 5 - 7 years previous operations supervisory management experience including scheduling and real-time operations management required. · Experience in a production or distribution environment. · Experience supervising, coaching and developing staff. · Working knowledge of automotive supply industry preferred. · Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. · Works well with management, peers and subordinates ., · Ability to travel as needed.
