TFPP is headquartered in Lansdale, PA., Job Summary:, This position will coordinate and release direct materials meeting the production planning objectives in a fast paced manufacturing environment. Using MRP, create material releases and daily schedules to meet production requirements. Provide support to both internal and external customers within the operation. Perform material planning activitiees required to support production demand and satisfy customer requirements. Maintain appropriate inventroy levels and integrity in accordance ieht the department goals and objectives., Job Responsibility:, Prepare the production Plan based upon forecast requirements and company inventory guidelines., Ensure that all Material Requirements Planning (MRP) dates are maintained and updated accordingly., Ensure that desired Material Planning Requirements (MRP) quantities are properly communicated to the Purchasing Department., Develop a schedule that utilizes labor, materials, and machinery in an efficient and cost conscious manner., Ensure that components and services are available in a timely manner required for production., Recommend to the Production Manager to start a manufacturing operation through the issurance of the Daily Production Schedule., Coordinate with appropriate manufacturing personnel the solution to problems related to the Production Schedule, such as material shortage status, rejection, scrap, rework, ect., Analyze material shortages, review order progress, and adjust plans and schedules as necessary., Coordinate and communicate all plans, schedules, changes and modifications to appropriate personnel in the Planning, Purchasing and the Production Departments., Communicate with Suppliers regarding inventory deliveries, push outs and expedites., Perform other duties as assigned by the Production Manager., Technical Skills:, Demonstrate MRP Knowledge., Excellent organizational and communication skills are required., Strong attention to detail., Demonstrated success working in a fast-paced and demanding manufacturing environment is required., Excellent analytical skills and flexibility to changing assignments., Strong computer skills in Windows Office Suite (Access, Excel, Word, ect.) are required., Good working knowledge of Bills of Materials and Routings., Experience dealing with suppliers., Highly organized, manage multi-tasks., High energy individual., Tyco Fire Protection offers a competitive salary package in addition to a comprehensive benefits package including a 401(k) with company match., Tyco is a diverse company that believes its employees are the foundation for investing in its future.
