To be eligible for this position, you will need a current score for the Facilities Repair Worker - Advanced exam. You must have taken the exam within the last year. Your civil service score must 70 or higher and you must apply within 1 year of your exam date.
If you do not have an active score or if your score will expire before January, you will need to take the State Civil Service exam for the Facilities Repair Worker - Advanced in December. The State Civil Service exam will take place on December 8, 2012. Pre-registration for this exam is required. Pre-registration will begin Friday, November 16th. The deadline for pre-registration is Wednesday, November 28th. Information regarding pre-registration instructions will be available by the afternoon of Friday, November 16th on the Wisc.Jobs website at wisc.jobs….

Job Description: The Office of Residence Life at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay has one vacancy for a Facilities Repair Worker – Advanced. The primary responsibilities of this position include conducting repairs to facilities, furnishings, and operating systems; performing various types of advanced mechanical and carpentry repair work; training and supervising student employees; inventorying and ordering supplies; grounds upkeep and snow removal., Conditions of Appointment:, Employment will require a criminal background check and a pre-screen physical. A pending criminal charge or conviction will not necessarily disqualify an applicant. In compliance with the Wisconsin Fair Employment Act, the University does not discriminate on the basis of arrest or conviction record. A six-month probationary period will also be required. The work hours of this position are 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Occasional weekend and evening work is required as needed to respond to facilities related emergencies.
