Job Description: WORKING TITLE: Head Women's Volleyball Coach UW SYSTEM OFFICIAL TITLE: Coach POSTING DATE: November 20, 2012 POSITION NUMBER: A097 START DATE: January 1, 2013 ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: The Head Women's Volleyball Coach will be responsible for all aspects of running a successful Division I Women's Volleyball program. This position will include the following specific responsibilities: * Develop and maintain a competitive intercollegiate volleyball program within the Horizon League. * Recruit student-athletes through observation of ability and talent in accordance with the rules and regulations of the NCAA, Horizon League and UW-Green Bay. * Provide technical expertise and utilize sound coaching methods aimed to improving the athletic performance of student-athletes. * Plan and supervise in-season and out-of-season practice sessions, team and individual practices. * Oversee conduct and performance of all women's volleyball assistant coaches and support staff. * Oversee the women's volleyball budget. * Monitor the academic performance of student-athletes to assure they meet performance standards of University and NCAA. * Participate in promotional and public relations events deemed necessary by Director of Athletics and/or his/her designee. * Generate and promote positive public relations and dynamic support for the Department of Athletics., This position requires significant travel and a varying schedule that includes nights and weekends.
