Job Description: POSITION NUMBER: A181 START DATE: December 3, 2012 ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: This is a full-time position that, in conjunction with the training manager and other trainer / development specialists, supports the development and delivery of competency-based training to public child welfare professionals across the Northeast Region of Wisconsin through the Northeast Wisconsin (NEW) Partnership for Children and Families. The NEW Partnership for Children and Families is a training partnership between 26 counties in Northeastern Wisconsin, the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, and the Wisconsin Department of Children and Families. Primary position responsibilities include: * training delivery * coordination of training sessions * training and curriculum development * coordination and management of training and curriculum development projects * transfer of learning., Required to lift, carry, and transport training supplies and equipment for training sessions. Education Required: REQUIRED: * Master's degree in a human services related field or Bachelor's degree in a human services related field with a minimum of one year of post Bachelor's relevant work experience * Five years of experience in Wisconsin county child welfare services * Demonstrated training delivery skills, with experience providing training and knowledge of adult learning principles * Demonstrated ability to relate and work well with diverse individuals and groups from across all levels of an organization * Demonstrated competence in written and oral communication * Strong organizational skills * Proficiency with computer applications, including Microsoft word and internet-based tools * Ability to obtain or currently holds a valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation for required travel
Experience Required: PREFERRED: * BSW, MSW, and Social Work certification * Child welfare experience in the array of Wisconsin county child welfare services (access, initial assessment, child protective services ongoing, and juvenile justice intake and ongoing) * Prior child welfare training experience * Knowledge of child welfare services educational and professional training * Knowledge of the training needs of public child welfare professionals in the State of Wisconsin * Demonstrated curriculum development skills * Knowledge of transfer of learning concepts
